TEFL Tribe is based in Sangkhlaburi, a district of Kanchanaburi, Thailand. TEFL Tribe’s objective is to teach the English language to the hardest to reach ethnic minorities in Thailand and give volunteers a fantastic once in a lifetime experience and friends for life while giving back to the Thai community. TEFL Tribe provides the teachers a place to live near the Thai-Burmese border. It can be either a home-stay or teacher’s dormitory. You will be picked up and dropped off at the Kanchanaburi city at the start and end of your stay. Despite the remoteness of the schools, Wi-Fi and good phone signals are widely available! You will get lunch daily at school but you have to manage breakfast and dinner on your own. TEFL also loves to run drama and music workshops. If that is your passion then please let us know in advance!
Location: Kanchanaburi, Thailand
Volunteer Work: TEFL Tribe requires volunteers that are willing to teach the English language to the kids in Sangkhlaburi. TEFL Tribe works with local schools and provides them with teachers who can teach the English language to local kids. The best part about this opportunity is that you do not need any kind of TEFL/TESOL qualifications. You just need to come with an open heart and mind. TEFL also encourages people who speak English as a second language to join, as they value the experience that you have in being an English language student.
